La Costa Valley Master Plan

Location: Carlsbad, Calif.

Client: The Fieldstone Company

The La Costa Valley is a 530-acre 1075-lot master planned community in the La Costa area of south Carlsbad. As the project planner, ADL’s responsibility included the development of an overall land use plan and the preparation site specific neighborhood village plans. ADL prepared street plans, grading plans, conceptual landscape documents and public presentation exhibits throughout the entitlement process. ADL worked with wildlife agencies to preserve sensitive habitat and incorporate more than 6 miles of pedestrian and multi use trails throughout the development, with additional connection to a city-wide trail system.
